RoseEmma “Rose” Millar

RoseEmma ‘Rose’ Millar is a DC Native artist born and raised in NW. With a background in the arts from DC Public Schools like Hardy and Duke Ellington, they embarked on a transformative artistic journey at a young age. Drawn to the intersection of Impressionism, Japonisme, the work of greats like John Robert Cozens, Albrecht Dürer, J.M.W. Turner, John Singer Sargent and Georgia O’Keeffe Rose developed a distinctive style characterized by their preferred medium of watercolor, inspiration from nature, inspiration from history, animation, and DC’s vibrant culture and history. Looking towards the future, Rose hopes to continue their DC-centric work and show the world their reflection as it’s seen in DC’s daily life.
