Celebrating National Cherry Blossom Festival and the Year of the Horse, The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum is hosting a free screening of the film “The Horses of Fukushima,” followed by a guided look at Japanese equestrian textiles on display in the exhibition Adorning the Horse: Equestrian Textiles for Power and Prestige. Directed by Yoju Matsubayashi, the film traces a rancher’s journey to rehabilitate his horses following the meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in 2011.
