MetroCherry Blossom Takeover at the Museum of Illusions DC
This spring, the Museum of Illusions DC is transforming into a breathtaking celebration of art, illusion, and cherry blossoms.
Beginning March 9, 2026, we are partnering with local artist Hiba Alyawer (@artbyhibaa) for a limited-time Cherry Blossom Museum Takeover — an immersive artistic experience inspired by Washington’s most iconic season.
Selected illusion rooms throughout the museum will feature stunning cherry blossom installations and floral-inspired artistic elements, blending the magic of visual perception with the delicate beauty of spring in DC.
This one-of-a-kind collaboration invites guests to experience art and illusion intertwined — creating unforgettable photo moments and offering an entirely new perspective on the season of bloom.
In Celebration of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Our Cherry Blossom Takeover aligns with the spirit of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, welcoming both locals and visitors to celebrate creativity, culture, and the fleeting beauty of the blossoms.

Paint, Play & Pour
Hosted by local artist Lina Alattar
An immersive, hands-on painting experience led by DC-based artist Lina Alattar. Guests will be guided step-by-step through a cherry blossom–inspired artwork while surrounded by the interactive world of illusions.
