D.C. Area Restaurants and Nightlife Will Take Center Stage Throughout 2023 National Cherry Blossom Festival
Washington, D.C. [March 1, 2023] — The National Cherry Blossom Festival today announced that Washington, D.C. area restaurants and nightlife will once again take center stage throughout the 2023 National Cherry Blossom Festival, March 20-April 16. More than 100 local restaurants across D.C. and surrounding communities will showcase their best springtime menu items through the Festival’s Cherry Picks program, a collaboration with the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW). The Festival’s second annual Cherry Night will shine a light on D.C. nightlife on March 31, and the new Cherry Hunt will bring some delicious competition to the 2023 Festival, with points and prizes up for grabs.
“The D.C. area has unique culinary and night life possibilities,” said Diana Mayhew, president and CEO of National Cherry Blossom Festival. “Cherry Picks, Cherry Night, and Cherry Hunt are perfect ways for residents and visitors to get to know new favorite restaurants, rediscover old favorite eateries, and welcome spring with a night on the town. We encourage people to gather a group of friends, neighbors, or family members – or all the above – to get a literal taste of spring and support local businesses starting March 20.”
Cherry Picks offers dine-in, take-out, and delivery options from some of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia’s best restaurants creating unique and innovative menus inspired by the changing of the seasons. Cherry Hunt, a new interactive Cherry Picks experience, will offer points for dining at Cherry Picks venues and completing cherry blossom-themed challenges through the Goosechase app – with prizes for those earning the most points.
