I am 18 years old and a freshman attending the University of the District of Columbia, where I’m enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences as an arts program major concentrating on studio arts. I have known since I was little that when I grow up, I will be an artist, and here I am now. I still have the very first painting I painted when I was five years old, and it serves as my inspiration to remind me of how far I have come and how much more I can learn.
