Full Circle Blossom

By Alex Goastièr

Inspired by mental health as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic, Full Circle Blossom is my take on a physical representation of restoration, new beginnings, and the cyclical nature of the human experience navigating isolation. Through the exploration of color phasing, tint vs. tone, and layering, I hope Full Circle Blossom provides my audience with a feeling that, very simply, everything comes full circle; things return to the more positive place from which they began.

Alex Goastièr (aka Goast) establishes himself as a pioneer of Contemporary Geometric Abstraction by use “explosive color palettes, delicate linework, strong textures, and largeformat installations” as key elements to his sophisticated and complex imagery. Through these elements, Goastièr’s creations enlist observers into an experience that simultaneously stimulates and provokes the senses.
