As someone who likes to build things, I wanted to treat the sculpture as an object instead of a canvas. I liked the visual pun of a delicate blossom built out of heavy steel plates. That design was too joyless and unbeautiful for such a fun project, so I let some cherry branches punch their way through the grim exterior!
Throughout the 2021 Festival, this sculpture was on display at 1805 7th Street SW. This sculpture is currently no longer on display.
