Torpedo Factory Art Center is home to the nation’s largest number of publicly accessible working-artists’
studios under one roof, with more than 165 artists in 82 studios and seven galleries on three floors.
Housed in a converted munitions plant on the banks of the Potomac River, it is now the creative engine that drives Northern Virginia’s cultural scene. During the Cherry Blossom Jubilee, find a free lively afternoon of hands-on activities and cultural performances. Create blossom-inspired art guided by artists from the Art Center community. Visit select studios on all three floors to see artists demonstrate their talents. Find original works of art to shop and explore throughout the building. The Art Center is located steps from Alexandria City Marina and the Alexandria Water Taxi. Located in Old Town Alexandria, it is accessible by the Blue and Yellow Metro lines via King Street Station and the free King Street Trolley. There is ample street and garage parking nearby.
