The Cherry Blossom Tea Party in Dupont Circle

Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets

The Cherry Blossom Tea Party in Dupont Circle

Tea has a long, rich history in Japanese culture with a variety of tea rituals and traditions, where every object and movement matter. While the ways people have enjoyed their tea has changed over time, Japan continues to have a strong connection to tea culture today.

Enjoy free tea from Valley Brook Tea, Teaism, and Tea Mansion among paper parasols in the beautifully decorated Dupont Circle Park.

HDCMS pays homage to this cultural staple for this year’s National Cherry Blossom Festival with the Dupont Cherry Blossom Tea Party.

Credit Union Cherry Blossom Virtual Run

Credit Union Cherry Blossom Virtual 10 Mile & 5K

This year’s Cherry Blossom Virtual Run will be held during the dates of the National Cherry Blossom Festival, March 20 – April 14, 2024. Be with us in spirit by running 10 miles or 5K virtually.

The Virtual Run is a great option if you had a scheduling conflict and were unable to enter the In-Person Run. It is also a great way to introduce a newcomer to running who may not be quite ready to strut before thousands on race day on the Washington Monument Grounds, or to have a far-flung friend or family member join you in your Credit Union Cherry Blossom experience.

National Cherry Blossom Day in the Fairfax Visitor Center

Into the Woods at FPFP

Celebrate the National Cherry Blossom festival with this free event at Frying Pan Farm Park. We invite you to trek on our nature trail to experience the changes of spring. Visit stations peppered throughout the trail to build a fairy house, help tally migratory and year-round resident birds, and search for critters in the soil and water. Enjoy Japanese teas at the historic Frying Pan Meeting House. Stop by the Indoor Arena first for a map and instructions. The program runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information, call 703.437.9101. All ages welcome.
